If summer’s flying by and you still haven’t planned a vacation, don’t stress—you’re not alone. Between work, kids and everyday responsibilities, plans often get pushed aside. But there’s still time to enjoy a break—your way.

Vacations aren’t just about where you go or how far you travel. They’re about joy, connection and the memories you make along the way.
Whether you’re staying close, going far, or simply creating small moments that matter, there is still time for summer fun.
1. The Last-Minute Getaway:
Within a couple hours of Las Vegas, you’ll find perfect day or weekend escapes. Try:
Mount Charleston for cool mountain air and forest trails.
Valley of Fire for vibrant hikes and sunset views.
Lake Mead or Willow Beach for a peaceful paddle or lakeside picnic.
Or explore St. George, Utah, for red rocks and charming local spots.
2. The Staycation Win:
No travel? No problem. Staycations can include spa days, museum visits, or trying a new restaurant you’ve never been to. Even a backyard barbecue or DIY retreat can feel like a break when it’s intentional.
3. The Micro-Vacation:
Short on time? Squeeze in a few hours for you. A solo sunrise hike, a long lunch with friends, or even a tech-free evening with your favorite playlist. Little moments add up.
4. Bring the Vacation
Vibes Home:
The vacation feeling is what counts. Bring the beach or resort feeling to your space with candles, music, tropical drinks. Host a tropical-themed dinner, create a backyard movie night, or simply unplug for a weekend. Vacations aren’t always about distance.
5. The “Have To” Trip:
Heading out for a family reunion, wedding, or big trip that feels more obligation than relaxation? Keep it light by planning some personal downtime, packing efficiently and giving yourself permission to say no to over-scheduling.
Whatever your summer looks like, the key to handling vacation plans is this: make space for joy, connection, and rest.
Vacation your way—and don’t forget to savor the little moments.
