Orozco Siblings: Building unity through empowerment

October 6, 2025 by 215staff

By Jose Orozco

When my sister Berenice and I, Jose Orozco, founded Orozco Siblings, we knew in our hearts that our work would be rooted in love—for our community, for this country, and for the generations who will come after us.

Jose and Berencice Orozco recently formed a non-profit company to create programs to help empower immigrants. (Submitted photo)

We grew up understanding that America is strongest when we all move forward together, no matter where we come from.

Our nonprofit is our way of giving back: a warm embrace for immigrant families and youth who deserve to be seen, supported and celebrated.

Our mission is to help communities look past the surface and into the heart and soul of one another. By doing so, we believe we can heal divides and build a future that reflects the best of who we are as Americans: resilient, compassionate, and united.

This journey has already brought incredible opportunities. One of the most meaningful is our partnership with Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, where together we are creating programs to empower immigrant and asylee youth. The work is deeply personal—because every child deserves to know that their story and their dreams matter.

At Orozco Siblings, we focus on four pillars that reflect our vision for lasting impact:

Workshops for empowerment and healing – spaces where individuals can embrace their story and find strength in their voice.

Technology access – providing families with the computers and tools they need to thrive in school and work.

Scholarships – opening doors for both youth and adults to pursue their education with confidence.

Mentorship – connecting young people to guides who will walk alongside them in their journey.

We are honored to have been guided in this work by the CEO of Moonridge Group, Julie Murray, whose mentorship continues to inspire and ground us. But our greatest inspiration comes from the families we serve—their resilience, their courage, and their dreams for a better future.

Through Orozco Siblings, we want to send one simple message: you belong. Your heritage is your strength, and your story adds to the beauty of America. Together, we can create a country where every community is not only welcomed but embraced.

And now, we invite you to join us. Stand with us as we push America forward—together, united as one. Whether through partnership, mentorship, or simply sharing our vision, you can help us build a future where every family has the opportunity to thrive.

Because when we uplift immigrant families, we uplift our entire nation.
